Protect your information

Keep your home address, workplace details, financial information, passwords, identification documents, and other sensitive information private. Zawaj Match will not automatically release your email address or phone number.

Watch for scams

Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, banking details, or investment funds to someone you meet through the service. Be cautious when a person quickly declares strong feelings, avoids video or in-person verification, tells inconsistent stories, or pressures you to leave the app.

Control photos and conversation

Share private photos only when comfortable. Do not copy, save, post, or forward another person’s photos or messages without permission. Mutual interest does not create an obligation to reply, share personal information, meet, or continue communicating.

Meet carefully

Meet in a populated public place, tell someone you trust where you are going, arrange your own transportation, keep your phone charged, limit alcohol or anything that impairs judgment, and leave immediately if you feel uncomfortable. Do not visit a private residence until trust is independently established.

Block and report

Stop communicating and report suspicious, abusive, coercive, or unsafe behavior. Preserve relevant messages or screenshots. If money was sent, contact the payment provider promptly. Contact local emergency services for immediate danger and report suspected fraud at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
